Matthew J. Day Sr. -
Founder & Executive Director
Mr. Day holds a M.S. in Sports Management from the Virginia Commonwealth University,
a B.S. in Physical Education from Virginia State University, and an A.A. in Teacher
Education from Baltimore City Community College. Mr. Day is a Certified Teacher
with an advanced professional degree who teaches physical education in the Baltimore
City Public School system at Mount Washington Elementary School. He is also
Administration 1 certified (May 2007). Matthew Day received the youth developmenet award from 40th district delegate Shawn Tarrant.
Mr. Day founded UEC in 2002, and he is
the Executive Director overseeing all UEC programs and activities. |

Colleen M. Geisen - Assistant Director
Ms. Geisen has over 15 years of experience in the non-profit and public health sector serving populations including autistic, developmentally delayed,
emotionally disturbed, and chronically mentally ill. Ms. Geisen specializes in general administration of non-profits, as well as creating lesson plans, directing
recreational & art therapy sessions, developing & implementing behavioral modification programs, teaching life & coping skills, and case management. Ms. Geisen
received two B.A. Degrees in Art & Psychology from Towson University, and has a Masters Degree in Art Therapy & Creativity Development from Pratt Institute.
Ms
Geisen has been a member of UEC's part-time staff since 2008, and joined UEC full-time in 2011. Her primary responsibilites are developing community partnerships,
fundraising, and project management of the opening of UEC's new all day pre-school program. |

Mark Chinnia - Program Manager
Mr. Chinnia is a graduate of Towson University with a B.S. in Social Science. He has over 6 years of experience working and teaching in
the Baltimore City Public School System. Mr. Chinnia attended high school at Loyola High School where he was also the varsity basketball coach,
as well as directed and operated basketball camps for Loyola High School.
Mr. Chinnia is currently a teacher's aide at The Mt. Washington School. |

Fraya Arnett - Executive Assistant
Mrs. Arnett is a graduate of Baltimore City Public Schools and attended Coppin State University in Baltimore City. Mrs. Arnett has the longest tenure of employment with UEC providing invaluable services including data management, billing, activity scheduling, marketing, and customer service. Ms Arnett is also head basketball coach of the Mt Washington Tigers - the 2010 & 2011 BEBL Champions.
Mrs. Arnett is currently an administrative assistant for the Baltimore City Public School system and is CPR/First Aid certified. |
